In Class 12 you may apply for three or four entrance exams, each with its own website, fee and calendar. A failed fee payment or a missed correction window can cost you a sitting. The fix: one tracker, filled only from official notices, checked once a week.
What dates does one entrance exam form have?
Take JEE Main 2027 Session 1. The NTA public notice of 24 October 2026 lists these dates:
Online form: 24 October to 22 November 2026, up to 11:50 pm
Last date for a successful fee payment: 22 November 2026, up to 11:50 pm
Late form, with an extra Rs 500 late fee: 23 to 26 November 2026
Correction in form details: 27 to 29 November 2026
Exam city announced: 30 December 2026
Admit cards: 13 January 2027
Exam: 20 to 24 and 28 January 2027
That is seven separate deadlines and release dates for one session of one exam. Session 2 has its own set: the JEE Main 2027 information bulletin gives 5 January to 3 February 2027 for the form and 2 to 7 April 2027 for the exam.
The bulletin also has small rules for your tracker. Your confirmation page is generated only after the fee payment succeeds, so a filled form without a successful payment is not a finished application. You choose up to four exam cities, normally within the state of your permanent or present address. Admit cards are not sent by post, and NTA asks you to print at least four copies. New to bulletins? Start with how to read the JEE Main or NEET information bulletin.
How do you set up one tracker for every exam?
Use a notebook, a spreadsheet or a shared phone note. Make one row per exam and session, and these columns:
Exam and session, with the official website
Form window, and your own earlier deadline
Fee amount, payment status, and where the confirmation page is saved
Correction window and which fields can be changed
Exam cities chosen, in order
City slip date and admit card date
Exam date and shift
Answer key challenge window and result date
Source notice and the date you last checked it
Column 9 makes the tracker trustworthy. A date with no notice beside it is only a guess.
What does a filled tracker row look like?
One planned row for a student in Lucknow, using dates from the NTA notice:
Exam: JEE Main 2027 Session 1, jeemain.nta.nic.in
Form: official close 22 Nov; my deadline 15 Nov
Fee: pay with the form; save the confirmation page as a PDF and print it
Correction: 27 to 29 Nov; reminder set to recheck every field
Cities: 1 Lucknow, 2 Kanpur, 3 Prayagraj, 4 Varanasi
City slip: 30 Dec; admit card: 13 Jan, four copies to print
Exam: 20 to 24 or 28 Jan, shift from the admit card
Answer key and result: dates not out yet; check weekly
Source: NTA notice of 24 Oct 2026, last checked 27 Oct

Which exams should be on the list before their forms open?
Add a "watch" row for every exam you plan to take, even before its form is out. NTA's revised examination calendar of 26 October 2026 runs only to April 2027 and does not yet list NEET-UG 2027 or CUET-UG 2027, and it says all dates are tentative. The watch row holds the exam name, its official website and "form not out yet". Add state entrance exams the same way.
How often should you check for changes?
Once a week is enough for most of the year, and every day while a form or correction window is open. Dates do move. The same NTA notice says the revised calendar supersedes the earlier one and asks candidates to rely only on the official NTA website and exam portals. In 2026, NTA's notices page listed a NEET (UG) re-examination on 21 June 2026 and a change of venue for some candidates.
The JEE Main notice says all communication goes to the email and mobile number in the form, which must be yours or a parent's or guardian's. That gives parents a clear job: watch that inbox, and do a ten-minute Sunday check of the tracker together.
The weeks between dates still need a study plan. Fermi's AI tutor works out what you already know and builds a plan for the session, so the evening after you submit a form starts with a clear next step.
Set up the tracker today with the JEE Main row, then add each new exam the day its notice appears.
